Durante el evento de graduación de la generación 2010-2014 de diversas licenciaturas del Politécnico de Guanajuato, Fernando Olivera Rocha, secretario de Turismo de Guanajuato, comentó que el turismo es la actividad que más rápidamente puede reactivar la economía de las comunidades, y contribuye a conservar a los pobladores en sus lugares de origen.

Por tal motivo, agregó, este sector es la segunda fuerza económica del estado y la segunda creadora de empleos de calidad.

Olivera Rocha, indicó a los 46 egresados de las licenciaturas en Gastronomía, Hotelería y Sistemas Turísticos, Logística de Eventos y Servicios, así como Logística Integral de Negocios, que hicieron lo correcto al elegir para su carrera, a un sector que va a seguir creciendo y que les va a brindar grandes oportunidades de desarrollo.

Detalló que el Politécnico de Guanajuato es la institución precursora para traer a la mente de las personas la gastronomía, y agradeció la participación de la institución en distintas actividades de la Secretaría de Turismo, como lo fue Kultur 2014, la 2ª.
